As the sun sets over the harbor, the Seafire Inn turns Polynesian as it hosts the Makahiki Luau, a bountiful, nightly celebration featuring the ancient customs, rhythmic music and dance, authentic costumes and cuisine of the Pacific Islands. From the moment the tribe lands ashore in their ceremonial boat, the excitement is non-stop in this festive, fiery show that celebrates man's co-existence with the earth and sea.

Come out and experience a celebration of food, dance, and drink that you would normally have to travel halfway across the world to see. But, thanks to Sea World in Orlando, Florida, you can stay domestic and still see this spectacle of a dinner show.

All your senses will be excited in at this one-of-a-kind dinner and show. Your sense of touch will feel the heat of the flames from the professionally trained fire-breathers. You'll hear the rhythms and melodies of the Pacific Islands from singers and musicians native to the Pacific. Smell and then taste the delicious island cuisine that includes such entree's as Hawaiian chicken and Polynesian-Style Barbecue Ribs. And witness with your own eyes the authentic dress and dance of the people native to those mystic Pacific Islands. They call this spectacle of food and dance the Makahiki Luau Celebration!

The Reviews

 

This is a very good two-hour dinner show. It is chock-full of Hawaiian and other island cultures, with dance and stories. Dinner is family-style island specialties. There is a great deal of audience participation, especially for the children. The theater where the dinner is held is very cozy, and you are very close to all the action.

You will see fire dancing, the Hula, and other island favorites. Be sure and ask to sit in the back if the "big drums" bother your ears, as they definitely are loud. Costuming is very beautiful and authentic. The "Kahuna" is a great person, as is the princess host for the evening. The cast will stick around and visit with you after the show if you like.
